The vision

Become the default control layer between always-on infrastructure and the maintenance, vendor, and update access that exposes it.

Our story

Same incident, different layer.

Chapter 01

AirGapNet was founded in 2020 by industry veterans with more than two decades of experience building network and security infrastructure. The team kept seeing the same pattern across customers — firewalls, EDR, segmentation, and employee training were all in place, and breaches still happened. Almost always through a service path that did not need to be open.

Chapter 02

Instead of adding another software rule to an already-saturated security stack, the founders built a hardware switch that physically interrupts the line. Manual, scheduled, or event-based — controlled over an independent channel so the switch itself cannot be reached from the production network. “Online when needed” became the working principle.

Chapter 03

The core mechanism is patent-pending (filed 2023). AGN1 — the single-line device — is shipping today. AGN2 — the rack version — is built and entering quote-led rollout. AirGapNet Cloud, for fleet management, is in development. We are currently expanding from European engineering to a US-led commercial launch.

From the founder

A letter, not a pitch.

I have spent over twenty years building network infrastructure for industrial sites, hospitals, and the kind of mid-market companies that quietly run more of the economy than people realize. After every major incident in our customers' networks, the post-mortem read the same way. The firewall was there. The EDR was there. The team did the training. And the attacker still walked in through a maintenance port, a vendor VPN, an update channel — a path that should not have been open at all.

We tried solving it the way the industry solves everything: more rules, more logging, more conditional access. None of it changed the physics. The line was still electrically connected. The attacker was still electrically reachable.

So in 2020 we started building something simpler. A piece of hardware that physically interrupts the line. It is switched over an independent channel — by hand, on a schedule, or by event — so the switch itself is not reachable from the production network. When the work is done, the line goes back to a physical break. We call it online when needed.

We are not asking you to replace your firewall, your EDR, or your segmentation. We are asking you to add one layer that those products cannot give you: a physical break by default. The mechanism is patent-pending. The first device, AGN1, is shipping. The rack version, AGN2, is rolling out through partners. Cloud management is in development.

If you operate critical infrastructure, run an MSP, manage a manufacturing floor, or simply have a server that doesn't need to be reachable on the open internet every minute of every day — we would like to show it to you.

Wir sind für Sie da.

We are here for you.
